Meet the Coaches

Jourdan Wenzinger

Head Coach

This will be Jourdan’s first year at NW Reign. Jourdan has over 5 years of coaching experience at the 14, 16, and varsity levels. A former assistant varsity coach for Estacada High School, head coach at LOCOS VBC and she now coaches alongside Shy Davis at 6A Sandy High School. Jourdan has a great volleyball IQ, as well as a tremendous passion for the game that she  really brings out in her players. “Good teams play together; realizing that every effort made on the court is for your team-not your glory- is critical in being a champion.” Jourdan also believes that great success is a result of even greater effort in preparation. “If you fail to prepare, you prepare to fail! Practicing hard is crucial and athletes must take it seriously if they want to get anywhere in volleyball, or even life for that matter.”

Jourdan had a very successful volleyball career as well. As a Libero at Estacada High she earned player of the year in 2011 and was as an all-state team selection. She then went on to be an all-star for the Southern region at Chemeketa, leading her team to an NWAACC appearance, followed by a D2 scholarship at Adams State University in Colorado.
Jourdan is very excited to work with this seasons top 14’s to prepare them for that next level and to see that passion carry on for years to come. Welcome Jourdan!

Sydney Hillario

Assistant Coach

Sydney will be returning to NW Reign for her second season! We are happy to have her return to our 14's pod with coach Jourdan. Sydney began coaching immediately following her juniors career. She began coaching a freshman girls volleyball team and successfully completed two seasons in that role. Her goals were to instill confidence in her players, promote a growth mindset, and pass on her love for the game. She puts an emphasis on positive mindsets, being a great teammate, and giving 100% effort on and off the court.

Sydney was the assistant coach on our highly successful 14-2 for the 2018 season. We are looking forward to her joining Jourdan and bringing her energy and experience at NW Reign this past season.

Sydney developed a passion for the game in the 7th grade. She played throughout high school and club as a setter. She continued her volleyball career at the University of the Pacific women's volleyball club team as a setter. After graduating, she has continued to play in competitive indoor and grass adult leagues where she was able to gain more knowledge and experience in her personal goal of being a well rounded player.
