AJ Jackson

Head Coach

We are very pleased that AJ Jackson will be joining NW Reign again this year, moving to the Head Coach position of the 14-1 team.  AJ was the Assistant Coach on our highly successful 14-2 team in 2016.  This will BE AJ's 3rd season with NW Reign!

As a high school volleyball player, AJ made four appearances at the State Volleyball tournament.  She was a three-time All-State selection earning two First-Team honors and one Second-Team honor.  She competed for Portland Volleyball club and enjoyed a very successful tenure.  AJ was invited to the Junior National Team tryouts as a Junior in high school and was also a Volleyball Monthly Fab 50 selection her senior year.

After high school, AJ continued her volleyball playing career at University of the Pacific, a top 10 NCAA Division I volleyball program.  While competing at U. of Pacific, AJ made four appearances at the NCAA National Tournament, with one finish in the Elite 8.  Her Senior year in college, Jackson was named the Most Inspirational Player and was also awarded the Academic Excellence Award.

Suzy Adams

Assistant Coach

Suzy Adams played club volleyball for Blues, PVC and Rose City, and graduated from St. Mary’s Academy where she played volleyball and softball.  She continued on to Portland State University where she played volleyball and was captain of the 1992 National Championship team.  Suzy and her team have been inducted into the PSU Hall of Fame.

Suzy began her coaching career her sophomore year in high school traveling throughout Oregon and Washington during the summer instructing at camps with her high school coaches, Rick Lorenz and Malcolm Doi (Central Catholic/Rose City).  Suzy began coaching club her senior year in high school and has coached at the 12’s, 14’s and 16’s levels.   She spent 4 years as the varsity volleyball coach at Aloha High School, and 8 years at Hudson’s Bay High School, 7 as the varsity volleyball coach.  Suzy currently works for Vancouver Public Schools in the district athletic office.
