Meet the Coaches

Terin Thilavanh

Head Coach

Terin is a well-known local volleyball expert and one of the premiere adult players in the Portland/Vancouver-area.  She has been coaching club locally for the past 7 years. She has won Power League and Friendship tournament championships at the 14's & 16's age group~a highlight of her coaching career.  Terin is also the assistant coach at Clark College in Vancouver, WA. Terin has extensive knowledge of the game and puts an emphasis on fundamentals. "Coaching at every level has allowed me to dissect the game and see it in various forms. Because of this I feel that I can confidently see where an athlete/team is and train them for the next level of play both mentally and physically."

Is addition to her coaching experience, Terin has over 20 years of playing experience. Terin played for Sam Barlow High School and at Mt. Hood Community College, where her team won the NW Association of Community Colleges Championship (NWAC) in 2006.  As an adult player, in 2014, Terin competed in the USA Volleyball Adult National Championships in Arizona.  Terin and her husband, PT, have had great outdoor volleyball success as well.  In 2012 the were the Champions of the Annual Seaside Sand Tournament in their co-ed doubles division, and in 2016 they, along with their peers at NWAS directed the Seaside Beach Volleyball Tournament. Terin also Runs and directs the NW Reign Summer Camps.

When Terin is not coaching she enjoys being with her family- her husband PT (who is also a NW Reign Coach) and her two daughters Adelynn and Brynleigh. They enjoy paddle boarding and kayaking, playing in volleyball tournaments, and going to the beach.
