Terin Thilavanh

Club Director

We are excited to announce Terin Thilavanh as our new club director. Going into our 6th season we as an organization felt it was time to hire a Director. Terin played volleyball for Mt. Hood Community College and saw the game in a new light which created a passion for teaching and developing athletes. She is a graduate of Portland State University with a Bachelor's degree in Finance. She worked previously as a Financial Analyst before making the decision to stay home with her young children. Currently Terin is the assistant coach for Clark College, and works as the Director for NW Reign. She also home schools her and her husband PT's oldest daughter Adelynn, and youngest Brynleigh. Terin and her husband PT (also a coach for Reign) are well known in the volleyball community for tournaments they host (NWAS volleyball, and Seaside Beach Volleyball), leagues, and coaching. This will be Terin's 3rd season with the club and first year directing.  We think that she will be a valuable asset to the club as the game continually changes along with the climate of athletes, coaches, and clubs.

As the Director Terin manages the operational responsibilities for the club, and will be the primary point of contact for club related questions with families, athletes, coaches, and CEVA. Before the indoor season begins Terin secures our gym space for practices, plans practice schedules, and works with the travel coordinator to plan tournament schedules. She also creates the budget for each team and the administration of the club. She works diligently to manage our expenses by capturing the most up to date and current costs, in an effort to keep club dues as family friendly as possible all while ensuring the club does not accrue debt and operates in the black. She also manages the accounting throughout the season processing our bills, reconciling accounts, preparing coach stipends, travel reimbursements, and the preparation of taxes for the club's accountant.

As the season nears she manages our coaches including recruitment, retention, monitoring, and training. She plans open gyms and coordinates the use of equipment, staff, and communication. She also plans the parent information night, coaches meetings, and tryout dates, locations, and format.

During the season Terin manages the equipment (balls, carts, nets, etc.), and inventory distribution of player gear for each team. She also serves as liaison for coaches needing support and the float coaches attending additional practices and tournaments. When she is not at other team practices she is the head coach of our 16-2 team.

As the season closes Terin works with the coaches to collect the player gear and inventory items. She also plans and schedules the Summer Camp sessions to give athletes a indoor summer experience preparing them for the school seasons. Be sure to say hello and introduce yourself when you see her around!

Amy Booker

Treasury and Administrative Support

Amy Booker has been with NW REign for three years as a parent and will be serving on our BOD for her first year this season. Amy says was "sold" the day she went to hear first parent meeting. She appreciated the level of professionalism paired with a down to earth mentality. She says it was clear that our focus was on the athletes and that the board members and coaches represented our mission well. Amy brings positive energy and a perspective from a parent that is invaluable in our decision making process. Along with being an active member in our board meetings Amy will be working closely with Molly with admin support and Terin with financial matters.

Amy is the primary contact for payments and financial communication. She can be reached at: amybrazil7@gmail.com. Make sure to say hi to Amy at tryouts, she will be working with Molly helping the admin staff get the players and families checked in, and handling the collection of paper work and deposits at the end of tryouts. She is also a great resource for families who are adapting to club sports and have general questions about what to expect, how to support your athlete, and time commitment.

Her goal for joining the board is to add value to the club while serving the families the best she can. We are excited to have you Amy!

Lenee McDaniel

At-Large

I have been involved in volleyball for over 30 years as both a player and a coach. I played my high school and club ball in southern California before heading to the University of Florida to play my college ball. After three years as the starting setter, I transferred to Azusa Pacific University, where I earned the NAIA National Player of the Year award.

I joined NW Reign because their coaching philosophy aligned with my own. The leadership has always led with integrity, respect and passion for the game, and it’s been a privilege to work with such professionalism.

I am proud to serve on this board and am committed to supporting all facets of NW Reign VBC. I started with the club 6 years ago in the capacity of floater and setting coach. I then took on the role of head coach in the 16s pod for a year before moving to the 18s pod in the role of head coach the past 2 years.
